Together We Can Solve Hunger
Over the past three years, Susquehanna has donated 830,000 meals to area food banks through the Tweet2Feed campaign. In 2013, they are on a Million Meal Mission! The goal is to reach a total of one million meals donated through our holiday campaigns! And once again the Mountaineer Food Bank is one of nine food banks that will benefit.
Here is how the Million Meal Mission will work:
- Holiday Checking - For each new personal checking account opened in November and December, Susquehanna will donate 25 meals to area food banks.
- Stellar Deed of the Day – To promote good will and acts of kindness, we will feature “good deeds” on Facebook, Twitter and www.susquehanna.net. For every like, share or comment on our Facebook page, we will donate 5 meals to area food banks.

Hunters Helping the Hungry Kicks of 2013 Season
Each Fall, Mountaineer Food Bank partners with the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources to promote the Hunters Helping the Hungry Program in West Virginia. Hunters that harvest a deer during the season can donate the meat to the food bank. After the hunter checks in the deer, they drop the deer off at a participating meat processor. There is no cost to the hunter and Mountaineer Food Bank will collect the venison from the meat processor for distribution to needy families.
Your donation today will help us provide Food for 8 Meals for Every $1 Donated!
