Programs

We know that it takes more than just food to fight hunger. We have a variety of programs to meet specific needs  in our communities. These programs provide assistance to children, seniors, veterans, and families struggling with food insecurity.

Mobile Food Pantry

Mobile Pantries provide food to "food deserts" where food accessibility is limited and/or scarce.

Veterans Table

The Veterans Table Program provides food boxes to local veterans.

Mountaineer Meals

Mountaineer Meals provides food to children 18 and under during the summer months.

Fresh Initiative Kids Market

MFB's Fresh Initiative Kids Market sets up a farmers market style distribution in  schools and provides fresh food to children and their families.

CSFP

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low income elderly at least 60 years of age and who meet income eligibility requirements.

Back Pack Program

The BackPack Program, provides snacks and meals for kids who do not have enough food to eat on the weekends. BackPack programs are sponsored by MFB agencies.
