Do you need help buying groceries every month?  The federal nutrition program called SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—or food stamps) is available for you. Everyone can apply for SNAP benefits–college students, seniors over 60, people with disabilities, homeless individuals, and families.

Thanks to a Feeding America grant, Mountaineer Food Bank is partnering with United Way to provide SNAP application assistance. If you are in West Virginia and have questions about SNAP eligibility, recertification, benefits, and other SNAP program areas, please reach out to Andrea Parsons for help. Andrea may be reached by phone at 304-580-0570 or email at aparsons@uwamov.com.

Did you SNAP provides nine meals for every one meal the food bank provides? SNAP is one of our greatest tools in fighting hunger in the Mountain State.
