The Gift of Time
Volunteer are a precious resource at Mountaineer Food Bank. Whether you can give an hour or spend the whole day, volunteering at Mountaineer Food Bank will go along way. Volunteers work in our warehouse helping to process donations and in our conference room preparing newsletters and direct mail. Volunteers help keep food going into West Virginia counties.
Ways to Volunteer
Food Reclamation & Repackaging
Volunteers inspect donated foods from our store donation program to ensure they are safe to give out. Volunteers then sort, weigh, box food and label the boxes for distribution.
Volunteers can be scheduled as needed during the following shifts:
- Monday – Thursday 8am-4pm or 4pm-11pm
- Friday & Saturday- Please call for an appointment
Groups are welcome big and small. Please call ahead to make arrangements .
